That happened to me. My parents are both from Romania - my father has German ancestors, my mother Hungarian. That area where they are from basically consists of three different folks: People with Hungarian ancestors, German ones and entirely Romanian. The area belonged before WW1 to Austria-Hungaria and then became part of Romania.
For my grandpa, it's more of a general avoidance of all technology. My grandma's issue is she forgets her passwords then locks herself out of her accounts, and then changes the passwords again then locks herself out again.
