Honestly, currently available ammunition is probably the biggest hinderance to SKS “accuracy”. The mil-surp (all but gone in the U.S.) was actually generally pretty good stuff. The Russian commercial imports are not as good. Too much variation in OAL, seating depth, charge weight, etc.
